11. Staff Safety & Service Environment

At Radiance Glo Traveling Spa, we are committed to providing a safe, professional, and respectful environment for both our clients and staff. We fully comply with all applicable California state laws and industry standards to ensure the highest level of service, safety, and cleanliness. The following safety and hygiene protocols must be observed during all in-home services.

Client Location Requirements

To ensure a safe and comfortable experience for both our clients and staff, we require that the location where the service is performed meets the following criteria:

  • Safe Location: The space must be secure, well-lit, and free from any hazards or obstructions. The location must be spacious enough to allow safe mobility for both our service providers and clients.
  • Clean Environment: The area should be sanitized, clutter-free, and prepared for the service. This includes ensuring that the area is free from any contaminants or health hazards that may affect the treatment or the well-being of our staff.
  • Proper Ventilation & Privacy: The location must allow for proper airflow and maintain privacy throughout the service. Clients must ensure that no unauthorized individuals are present during the service unless previously disclosed.
  • Emergency Access: The service location should provide easy access to exits and emergency services, if needed, in compliance with local safety laws.

Clients are required to confirm that their service location meets these criteria prior to booking an appointment. If the location does not meet these standards, the service may be rescheduled or canceled.

Notification of All Individuals Present

For the privacy and safety of both our clients and staff, clients must inform Radiance Glo Traveling Spa of any individuals who will be present at the location during the service, such as family members, roommates, or guests. Failure to disclose the presence of other individuals may result in the immediate termination of the session, with full payment required.

Therapeutic Service Policy

Radiance Glo Traveling Spa provides therapeutic, professional services only. Any suggestion or attempt of sexual nature, inappropriate behavior, or misconduct will result in immediate termination of the service. In these cases, full payment for the service will be required, and no refund will be issued. The safety and well-being of our staff and clients are paramount, and we uphold a zero-tolerance policy toward inappropriate conduct.

Any inappropriate behavior, comments, or actions will be reported to the appropriate authorities. Clients found violating this policy will be barred from future services.

Health & Sanitation Protocols

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and cleanliness to protect both our clients and staff. This includes strict adherence to California state health and safety regulations and CDC guidelines:

  • Sanitation & Cleanliness: All equipment and linens used during treatments are sanitized and disinfected before and after every service. Fresh linens will be provided for each session.
  • Personal Hygiene: Our staff is required to follow strict hygiene practices, including hand washing and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as masks and gloves, when appropriate.
  • Client Hygiene Expectations: To ensure a safe and hygienic service environment, clients are expected to maintain proper personal hygiene before the start of any treatment. This includes:
    • Arriving clean and freshly showered for all services.
    • Ensuring that nails, hands, and feet are clean, especially if receiving body treatments or massages.
    • For facial services, clients are encouraged to remove any makeup before the session begins.
    • Clients should notify us of any skin conditions, infections, or illnesses prior to the session to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the treatment.

Failure to adhere to these hygiene expectations may result in the rescheduling of the appointment or a change in the treatment provided.

  • Health Screening: Our staff undergoes regular health screenings and training on safety measures to minimize health risks associated with communicable diseases, including COVID-19.

Compliance with Health and Safety Laws

We are fully compliant with all California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA) regulations, California Business & Professions Code, and other relevant health and safety laws governing our industry. This ensures that our service providers are licensed, insured, and trained to perform their duties in a professional and safe manner.

  • Cal/OSHA Compliance: Our staff follows all Cal/OSHA safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment, both for our team members and our clients. This includes safety protocols for equipment use, safe handling of products, and maintaining a clean and sanitary service environment.
  • Professional Licenses & Certifications: All service providers are required to maintain valid professional licenses and certifications in accordance with California law for massage therapy, esthetics, and health-related services.

Emergency Protocols

In the unlikely event of an emergency, our staff is trained in basic first aid and CPR. We maintain clear access to emergency exits and local emergency services in compliance with health and safety standards.

Clients should always ensure that emergency services are reachable at the service location and that any necessary health information is provided in advance to ensure appropriate care.

Insurance & Liability

We maintain professional liability insurance to protect both our clients and staff during the course of services. Additionally, clients are required to sign a liability waiver before services are rendered. This waiver confirms the client’s understanding of the service, health information provided, and the safety protocols in place.

This policy is designed to ensure the highest level of safety, hygiene, and professionalism for every service provided by Radiance Glo Traveling Spa. By booking our services, clients agree to uphold these standards, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and compliant experience for everyone involved.
